Maybe the Epic of Gilgamesh isn't mid. I might just have a translation that's too academic. I reread the Stephanie Dalley translation, and the tone and prose are extremely different than some of the other translations out there. I'd like to read a more reconstructed version that trades complete accuracy for a more poetic translation
